What I Do

M.Eng AI & B.Sc. Data Science

I am currently pursuing a Master's of Engineering degree in Artificial Intelligence at Duke University. I completed my dual-degree program at Duke & Duke Kunshan University majoring in Data Science in May 2023.

Machine Learning & Deep Learning

My most significant interests and projects are in DL & ML. I have worked on an object detection model CNN for the Borsuk lab at Duke and various other research assistantship positions at Duke. I've worked on a Bollywood music generation DL model, training an open source DL laughter classifier, dataset analysis, etc.

Experience

I have conducted data science research with Bass Connections and Data+ research programs at Duke. I have worked as a CS TA for CS 307 and CS 308 - Advanced Software Design & Implementation, and had research assistant roles at various Data Science labs at Duke University, and under Prof. Andrew MacDonald at Duke Kunshan University. I have interned at Acuizen in Bangalore, India, and done freelance web development from 2017-2019.

Entrepreneurship

In 2022, my team and I won first place at GeorgiaTech's Robotech 2022 hackathon, and founded a VR Gaming Startup to join the CreateX startup accelerator program that we are still working on. In 2020, my team and I reached the finals of the Alibaba GET Startup Challenge, for our startup focusing on the mental health needs of Chinese high school students.

Research

I have done research at Duke through Data+ and Bass Connections programs, and been a research assistant at the Borsuk lab, The EdTech team, under Dr. Nick Carnes, and others. My team and I researched the economic impact of Covid-19 for the 2021 Duke Datathon.

Creativity

I like to write in my free time and have published a science fiction novel entitled 'Cure Bereft'.
